Dylan works mainly from digital photographs but can work from life too. He produces work in the following media:
- Watercolour
- Pencil
- Coloured Pencil
- Ink
- Acrylic
- Oil
- Oil Pastel
- Chalk Pastel
- Felt-tip Pen
- Biro
- Any mixture of the above.
For commercial work Dylan usually works at A4 or A3 sizes, as this makes framing somewhat easier – however any size is possible.
Larger sizes (e.g. standalone canvases for wall hanging) will cost significantly more and will require longer turnaround.
Prices range from £60 (for an A4 black and white image of 1 person) – to £800 (for a large full colour canvas of 4 people).
Cost is based on the number of people in the image (likenesses are the most time consuming part) x complexity (detail level, demands of the chosen medium) – this then gives an estimate for predicted hours (@ £25 / hr) plus cost of materials.
If you need the finished artwork framed, and/or sent to you by mail, this is not a problem – however these costs must be met by yourself.
